About
Sarah Mantin
Hey beautiful people! My name is Sarah, I’m a 26 year old health and fitness enthusiast from the beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada… eh? My passions include: all things fitness, food, travel, self discovery, laughter and love. Above all, I’m a woman on a mission to live out my highest potential, all while encouraging others to do the same.
As far as credentials go, I’m a Registered Nurse and Personal Trainer. I graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Nursing degree. I started off my nursing career working in my small hometown in Nova Scotia and most recently worked as a travel nurse across Canada.
I always knew I wanted to choose a challenging career that made a difference in people's lives on a daily basis. Growing up I participated in sports – soccer, running, rugby. I spent several years as a competitive rugby player and represented my province of Nova Scotia. Through my intensive training with sports, I got introduced to weight lifting and immediately fell in love.
My athletic upbringing and passion for health and fitness inspired me to become a Certified Personal Trainer. As a nurse, I’ve seen first hand the positive effects of exercise with regard to wellness and rehabilitation. After witnessing over and over again the repercussions of people living unhealthy lifestyles, I want to inspire and educate people that their health is in their own hands. So many of these chronic diseases can be prevented.
Personally, however, I’ve had the blessing of getting to know and understand my own body through many years of trial and error. In high school and university I learned to love lifting weights and the mental benefits that came with working out during a very stressful time in my life. I now crave those same endorphins my body got hooked on - they are truly unexplainable. I love testing my own strength and pushing my body to it’s true potential in and out of the gym. I feel unstoppable and I want all of you to feel the same way.
My mission is to help you experience that feeling by showcasing your physical AND mental strength all while living a balanced life. I believe that humans aren’t designed to stick to one path or structured plan. Our feelings, thoughts, beliefs, interests and relationships are ever changing and ever flowing. However, society grooms us to spend our whole life in preparation mode, planning for the future, mapping out our next move. We don’t realize that while we’re spending all this time thinking about what’s next, we’re missing out on the important things in life. I’ve come to realize with everything in life - your career, your body, your mindset - we need to have faith. We need to be content in knowing that where you need to be is where you already are. I encourage you all to be present and live in the moment. It’s important to have faith in yourself and know that you are more powerful (physically & mentally) than you think. It's not about the accolades, the next promotion, the letters on your resume... it's about your inner strength and knowing your worth.
I strive everyday to help people like you find the fire inside of you and bring that strength to the surface so that you can show up for those who matter and showcase your best self, right now, exactly as you are!
